The opening party went really well!
I was so nervous at first, due to the fact that I hadn't ever spoken publicly about my work before. I know it shouldn't have been that nerve-wracking to talk about my thoughts on my own work, but I struggled through it a little bit. I hope I conveyed some sense of myself to every viewer, because it was a personal experience and it meant a lot to be able to share a piece of who I am as an artist to the community & those around me that may not have been able to view my work otherwise.
All in all, I got a chance to talk with some great people who I hope enjoyed the brightly colored pieces I displayed that night. I received some wonderful feedback and although I didn't sell any pieces that month, the chance to share them with others was priceless.
